I was lucky enough (thanks, brother!) to be one of those in attendance as His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama, spoke to an overflow crowd of students, UM staff and a few of us “invited friends of the University” at the BankUnited Center on campus October 26th. His remarks, on “The Quest for Happiness in Challenging Times,” were incredibly moving, insightful and inspiring. Mutual respect, consideration of others, shared goals, the triumph of the human spirit … wow, what a thought-provoking experience. (pics above courtesy UM)
